EPPF International disassociates from the EPPF leadership in Eritrea.

After publishing the EPPF Fact Finding Report Summary in Amharic, regarding the main problems and improvement recommendations for the organization. EPPF International, has for the last 8 months been working towards its implementation.

Amongst the successful implementations were the removal of the former chairman Messkerem Attalay and various previous members of the EPPF International, who were obstacles to the movement, the launch of a weekly radio program EPPF Radio ‘Ye-Arbegna Dimts’ and the establishment of a successful web site ‘www.eppf.info’.

EPPF International has also been tirelessly lobbying and rallying the Eritrean Government and their stooges in the EPPF leadership in Eritrea, for the safety and unconditional release of the EPPF Freedom Fighters (ei: Kassahun Hunde, Memher Getachew, Werkeneh ...ect) who were imprisoned since November 2006, by Messkerem Atalay, Muse Tegegne and the Eritrean Security Personnel.

He was an ex-Kinijit activist that has been imprisoned and tortured by the EPRDF/TPLF regime of Ethiopia, during the post 2005 Ethiopian Election.

Contrary to what we have been previously informed, we have received information from our sources, that our jailed brothers lives has been jeopardized. We are requesting the Eritrean Government to prove the good health (if alive) of our comrades by making them available for an interview on EPPF Radio by 10th September 2007.

After analyzing the past and present facts, of the Eritrean Government treatment of our organization, EPPF International has come to the conclusion that it is impossible for an organization such as EPPF, with the aim of Uniting and Democratizing Ethiopia, to effectively and independently function from Eritrea.

In this regards, EPPF International would like to announce that it has decided to disassociate from the EPPF leadership in Eritrea (Eritrean Government Stooges). EPPF International has scheduled a conference in the next 2 months to implement a restructuring program that has been in the works for the last 8 months.

EPPF International will carry on fighting against the dictatorial regime of EPRDF/TPLF in Ethiopia, with the freedom fighters solely located in Ethiopia.
